Faz já alguns anos que estou interessado no mundo da realidade virtual e na reprodução de imagens gráficas nos contextos 2D e 3D. Trata-se de um âmbito de especial relevância e de múltiplas possibilidades artísticas, expressivas, comunicativas, didáticas e tecnológicas.
Passar da prática manual à prática digital, apresenta inúmeros desafios, mas também muitas oportunidades de investigação e implementação dentro do universo do multimédia.
São muitos os programas que podem possibilitar esta tarefa e traduzir um projeto nos seus dealbares numa realidade tangível com muitas arestas e opções de implementação. A partir do conceito de “Practice Based Research” a proposta deste trabalho final propõe a utilização de diferentes programas multimédia na composição de uma narrativa que seja atrativa e coerente, com uma componente didática implementada através dos contos e disponibilizada numa plataforma multiutilizador de fácil acesso. A componente digital
partiria da componente gráfica original, submetida ao tratamento da imagem, da cor e da composição e estaria acompanhada por um suporte gráfico, o próprio conto, em papel. Há uma intencionalidade nesta proposta de trabalho, no sentido de investigar na narrativa dos contos e na sua aplicação aos diferentes suportes, tanto no âmbito da arte, seja digital ou não, da ilustração, e da própria natureza didática dos contos. Sendo assim, a própria montagem e fabricação deste artefacto digital, deverá ser o cronograma de investigação –
ação, até chegar à conclusão do projeto final. Neste projeto, será usada como principal ferramenta informática a funcionalidade 2D do programa Unity 3D.
It is long that I am interested in the virtual reality world and in the creation of graphic images in 2D and 3D. It is for me a field of a very special relevance, offering multiple artistic, expressive, communicative, didactic and technologic possibilities. Therefore, going from the manual practice to the digital practice, involves great challenges, and many research and implementing opportunities, in within the multimedia universe. There are many programs allowing this task, being very useful to translate an initial project into a tangible reality with many risks and many options to implement, at the same time. From the “Practice Based Research “concept, this final paper looks into the use of different multimedia programs for the purpose of an attractive and coherent narrative composition, including a didactic field implemented through the tales in an easy to access multiuser platform. The digital component will start from the original graphic component, edited by an image, color and composition editor, along with the original graphic work in paper. There is a direct intention in this proposal, in an attempt to investigate about the tales narrative capacity and its later application to different supports, into the art field, digital or non-digital, into the illustration field, and into the didactic capacity of tales. Therefore, the assembling and editing of this digital artifact will be the “Practice Based Research” schedule to fulfill the final project. In this paper, Unity 3D program will be used in its 2D version functionality.
