| dc.description.abstract | A dissertação explora as representações do feminino nas obras de Fernando Pessoa, particularmente nos heterónimos de Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, Ricardo Reis e do semi-heterónimo Bernardo Soares. O primeiro capítulo, "Reflexos do feminino nas perspetivas de Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, Ricardo Reis e Bernardo Soares", analisa as diferentes formas de como o feminino é abordado e expresso nas suas poesias. Cada heterónimo tem uma visão distinta sobre a mulher, seja em termos de idealização ou crítica, pelo que se veem refletidas as suas perspetivas filosóficas e estéticas. Por outro lado, o segundo capítulo, "Horizontes de influência: Explorando as raízes históricas, culturais e sociais na escrita de Fernando Pessoa" explora algumas investigações de fontes que influenciaram a obra de Pessoa, nomeadamente o contexto histórico, cultural e social do início do século XX. São, por isso, analisadas as influências do modernismo e das suas inovações estéticas, das questões políticas e sociais da época que moldaram a sua visão do mundo e, consequentemente, a sua representação do género, encontrando diálogo na produção de vozes femininas que subverteram dinâmicas literárias e sociais. E finalmente, o terceiro capítulo, "Diálogos Atuais: Género e Sociedade na obra de Fernando Pessoa à luz das questões contemporâneas" propõe um olhar crítico sobre como as questões de género e sociedade abordadas na obra de Fernando Pessoa podem ser lidas e interpretadas à luz das preocupações contemporâneas. São discutidas algumas implicações dessas representações para a compreensão atual do género, a sexualidade e as relações sociais, refletindo sobre a relevância da obra de Pessoa no contexto atual. Esta investigação visa aprofundar a compreensão das representações do feminino na obra de Fernando Pessoa, através de uma análise cuidadosa dos seus heterónimos e das influências históricas, culturais e sociais que moldaram a sua escrita. Ao abordar as questões de género à luz da época contemporânea, a dissertação propõe uma nova interpretação da relevância da obra do poeta no cenário atual, refletindo sobre o impacto duradouro das suas representações literárias no entendimento moderno das relações de género, procurando desconstruir estereótipos apontados a Fernando Pessoa. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation explores representations of the feminine in the works of Fernando Pessoa, particularly through his heteronyms Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, Ricardo Reis, and the semi-heteronym Bernardo Soares. The first chapter, "Reflections of the Feminine in the Perspectives of Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, Ricardo Reis, and Bernardo Soares", analyzes how each heteronym engages with and expresses the feminine in distinct ways. Each voice presents a unique vision of womanhood — ranging from idealization to critique — thus reflecting their philosophical and aesthetic perspectives. The second chapter, "Horizons of Influence: Exploring the Historical, Cultural, and Social Roots in Fernando Pessoa’s Writing", examines the historical, cultural, and social contexts of the early 20th century that shaped Pessoa’s work. It discusses the impact of modernism and its aesthetic innovations, as well as the political and social issues of the time, on his worldview and literary representations of gender. The chapter also considers the emergence of female voices that challenged literary and social conventions. Finally, the third chapter, "Contemporary Dialogues: Gender and Society in the Work of Fernando Pessoa in Light of Current Issues", offers a critical perspective on how Pessoa’s approach to gender and society can be reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. It discusses the implications of these representations for today’s understanding of gender, sexuality, and social relations, highlighting the continuing relevance of Pessoa’s work. This study aims to deepen the understanding of feminine representations in Pessoa’s oeuvre through a careful analysis of his heteronyms and the historical, cultural, and social influences that shaped his writing. By addressing gender issues from a contemporary perspective, the dissertation proposes a new interpretation of Pessoa’s relevance today, reflecting on the lasting impact of his literary portrayals on modern understandings of gender and seeking to deconstruct stereotypes often attributed to him. | eng |
