Abstract(s)
Education projects focused on promoting the autonomy and emancipation of the most vulnerable are increasingly associated with a process of continuous intervention, where education par excellence takes a position of change and social intervention. This research approaches through the planning of concrete actions with groups and communities in a situation of social fragility, the potentialities and the educational actions, for the transformation of the adults reality involved in it, circumscribed in a project of social intervention. With two educational experiences, a project of education and social intervention was constructed in a methodological line of participatory action-research that simultaneously allowed one to know, to plan, to transform, to observe and to reflect on the increase of the critical conscience and autonomy of six socially vulnerable women. The educator, also a researcher, promoted democratic spaces where the participants had the opportunity to reinvent and to share narratives and life stories. Participants' awareness of themselves, in an intercultural sharing of their experiences with other elements, and the promotion of a process of knowledge acquisition from a lifelong learning perspective were witnessed. There was also active participation of all women, which was increased throughout the investigation, solving of situational problems, increasing of critical awareness of the existing social diversity, greater acceptance of the differences of others and promotion of solidarity bonds.
