Abstract(s)
O mobile learning (m-learning) têm-se revelado importante para suprir as diferentes
necessidades de formação de nível superior, na medida em que representa a possibilidade
de ampliação das práticas pedagógicas e alcance de maior parte da população, pelo facto
dos mesmos poderem aceder às ferramentas da Educação a Distância (EaD) a qualquer
momento e em qualquer lugar, principalmente em zonas recônditas. Também no ensino e
aprendizagem o potencial dos livros eletrônicos (ebooks) vem se destacando pelo seu papel
em ajudarem ao usuário a transformar a leitura passiva em aprendizagem interativa e
dinâmica, promovendo desta feita para uma melhor retenção e apropriação das matérias.
Tomando essa premissa, o presente estudo numa investigação-ação e de carácter qualitativo,
propôs-se a determinar como o m-learning e a utilização de um ebook podem melhorar a
aprendizagem, aumentar a motivação e dinamismo no ensino a distância em Moçambique,
tomando como caso específico do Instituto Superior de Ciências e Educação a Distância –
ISCED. A amostra de estudo foi constituída por estudantes que frequentam os cursos a
distância ministrados pelo ISCED e tutores internos da instituição. Obtendo-se como
principal conclusão que o m-learning se adequa à realidade de Moçambique e a condições
socioeconómicas atuais, e que os intervenientes podem aceder com facilidade a tecnologia
de informação e comunicação proposta pelo método de ensino e aprendizagem, assim como,
a viabilidade do uso do ebook como recurso de aprendizagem e a idealização de proposta
do plano de inserção deste recurso na plataforma de ensino, denotando-se, contudo, a
necessidade de maior estudo concernente a formação de professores que possam liderar a
aplicação e criação do ebook que respondam às necessidades específicas do ensino.
Mobile learning (m-learning) has proven to be important to meet the different needs of higher education, as it represents the possibility of expanding pedagogical practices and reaching the majority of the population, as they can access to the tools of Distance Education (DE) at any time and in any place, mainly in hidden areas. Also in teaching and learning the potential of electronic books (eBooks) has been highlighted by its role in helping the user to transform passive reading into interactive and dynamic learning, promoting this time for a better retention and appropriation of materials. Taking this premise, the present study in an action-research and of a qualitative character, proposed to determine how m-learning and the use of an eBook can improve learning, increase motivation and dynamism in distance learning in Mozambique, taking as a specific case of the Higher Institute of Sciences and Distance Education - ISCED. The study sample consisted of students attending distance courses taught by ISCED and internal tutors at the institution. Obtaining as a main conclusion that m-learning is adapted to the reality of Mozambique and the current socioeconomic conditions, and that the actors can easily access the information and communication technology proposed by the teaching and learning method, as well as the viability the use of the eBook as a learning resource and the idealization of the proposed plan for inserting this resource in the teaching platform, denoting, however, the need for further study concerning the training of teachers who can lead the application and creation of the eBook that respond to specific teaching needs.
