A conciliação da vida profissional, pessoal e familiar potencia uma efetiva igualdade
entre homens e mulheres, permitindo a realização individual ao nível das suas escolhas em
todas as esferas da sua vida. Contudo, esse equilíbrio tão almejado, pode muitas vezes ser
difícil de se alcançar, colocando em questão as interações sociais e profissionais entre
homens e mulheres e entre os/as mesmos/as e as suas entidades patronais.
As alterações sociais, demográficas e económicas, que se têm sentido ao longo dos
últimos anos, fazem-se acompanhar de alguma exigência e pressão quer individual,
familiar, organizacional e da sociedade em geral, no modo em como são conjugados o
trabalho e a vida pessoal e familiar.
As dificuldades de conciliação entre as esferas ocorrem muitas vezes devido aos
estereótipos de género existentes na sociedade, reproduzidos pelos indivíduos através dos
seus comportamentos ao nível organizacional. É nesse sentido que pretendemos
compreender com este estudo de caso dos trabalhadores do município de Gondomar, que
foram pais entre o ano de 2017 e 2019, a sua opção de não exercício do direito à licença
parental partilhada.
The reconciliation of professional, personal and family life enhances effective equality between men and women, allowing individual fulfilment in terms of their choices in all spheres of their lives.
