Tomando o caso de Guangzhou, esta dissertação focar-se-á na promoção e ensino da língua portuguesa. Este trabalho de investigação pretende analisar as estratégias e
iniciativas adotadas para a disseminação do português nesta metrópole chinesa.
Guangzhou, uma cidade com uma rica herança histórica de intercâmbios culturais e comerciais, tem mostrado um crescente interesse pela língua portuguesa, impulsionado
por relações económicas e diplomáticas entre a China e países lusófonos.
A promoção do português em Guangzhou é evidenciada pela presença de instituições de ensino superior que oferecem licenciaturas de português. Estas desempenham um papel crucial na formação de profissionais capazes de atuar em contextos internacionais, especialmente em negócios e diplomacia. Além disso, eventos culturais, como festivais de cinema e literatura lusófona, contribuem para a valorização e difusão da língua e cultura portuguesas.
O ensino do português em Guangzhou enfrenta desafios, como a necessidade de maior divulgação de cursos de português e materiais didáticos adequados. No entanto, parcerias internacionais e programas de intercâmbio têm facilitado o acesso a recursos e experiências pedagógicas. A colaboração entre universidades chinesas e lusófonas tem sido fundamental para o desenvolvimento de currículos eficazes dos alunos chineses, que têm a oportunidade de estar em contacto direto com a língua e cultura do país estrangeiro cuja língua estão a aprender.
A promoção e o ensino da língua portuguesa em Guangzhou refletem um esforço contínuo de fortalecimento das relações sino-lusófonas. Este processo não só enriquece a oferta educativa local, mas também contribui para o aumento da compreensão intercultural e o estabelecimento de laços mais profundos entre a China e o mundo lusófono.
Taking the case of Guangzhou, this dissertation will focus on the promotion and teaching of the Portuguese language. This research aims to analyze the strategies and initiatives adopted for the promotion of Portuguese language in this Chinese metropolis. Guangzhou, a city with a rich historical heritage of cultural and commercial exchanges, has shown a growing interest in the Portuguese language, driven by economic and diplomatic relations between China and Lusophone countries. The promotion of Portuguese in Guangzhou is evidenced by the presence of higher education institutions offering Portuguese degree programs. These institutions play a crucial role in training professionals capable of operating in international contexts, especially in business and diplomacy. Additionally, cultural events, such as Lusophone film and literature festivals, contribute to the appreciation and diffusion of the Portuguese language and culture. The teaching of Portuguese in Guangzhou faces challenges, such as the need for greater dissemination of Portuguese courses and adequate teaching materials. However, international partnerships and exchange programs have facilitated access to resources and pedagogical experiences. The collaboration between Chinese and Lusophone universities has been fundamental in developing effective curricula for Chinese students, who have the opportunity to be in direct contact with the language and culture of the foreign country whose language they are learning. The promotion and teaching of the Portuguese language in Guangzhou reflects a continuous effort to strengthen Sino-Lusophone relations. This process not only enriches the local educational offering but also contributes to increased intercultural understanding and the establishment of deeper ties between China and the Lusophone world.
