| dc.description.abstract | Desde os finais dos anos 70 que as problemáticas ligadas à violência doméstica têm registado uma cada vez maior visibilidade social. Esta problemática está na ordem do dia da agenda política, da comunicação social e da investigação, e tem adquirido um estatuto de “problema social”. Portugal, a partir da década de noventa, produz legislação direccionada para o combate a este crime e para apoio à vítima. Neste estudo, tomando como central a “voz” de homens e mulheres casados, ou a viverem maritalmente, pretendeu-se compreender as representações sociais de género sobre a violência conjugal, nomeadamente no que concerne às causas, ao nível de ocorrência, às formas de reacção ao problema e às diferenças relativas quanto às classes sociais e ao género, bem como às diferenças nos papéis conjugais. Para tal, optou-se por uma metodologia com cariz qualitativo, a entrevista para a obtenção dos dados, com aplicação de um guião previamente construído a 15 entrevistados. Esta pesquisa tem carácter exploratório e os seus resultados não podem ser generalizados. Em síntese, verifica-se a continuidade das diferenças de género no interior da família, designadamente no que respeita aos papéis conjugais e às atitudes de resolução de conflitos. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Ever since the 70‟s the problematics connected with domestic violence have registered an increasing social visibility. This problematic is on the political agenda as well as the media and research, furthermore it has been acquiring a “social problem” status. Portugal started producing legislation to fight this crime and support the victims since the nineties. In this study, taking as the central “voice” married or living maritally men and women, it was intended to understand the social representations of gender on marital violence, particularly concerning its causes, the level of occurrence, the forms of reaction to the problem and the differences in social class and gender, as well as the differences in marital roles. In order to do so, it was used a qualitative methodology, the interview to obtain the data, with application of a previously built script of 15 respondents. This research has a exploratory character and its results can't be generalized. In summary, it verifies the continuity of the gender differences in a family, more specifically when it comes to the marital roles and the attitudes concerning the resolution of conflicts. | |
