Abstract(s)
aprendizagem no Ensino Superior.
With the significant advancement of the new information and communication technologies, new tools for the construction of knowledge are currently being developed. Concepts such as m-learning add characteristics to formal or informal education such as mobility, portability, connectivity and ubiquity, making it an important educational technology for students. In this context, this research work is based on the analysis of an m-learning mobile application for students at Instituto Superior Dom Bosco, Mozambique, that can contribute to the teaching and learning process in Higher Education. In pursuit of this objective, the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology was applied to develop an application called EduDombos and tested by students to assess its use in the teaching and learning process. To achieve this goal, bibliographic research on m-learning, unsystematic observations of existing mobile learning applications in Mozambique, and qualitative and quantitative empirical studies with students and teachers using nonprobabilistic samples were carried out. When analyzing the results, it was found that students showed interest in using the application due to the ease of quickly accessing information about academic services. Teachers were satisfied because this allowed for greater student participation, as there is a great use of mobile devices among them, harming computers.
