| dc.description.abstract | A Wikipédia é incontornável quando se faz uma pesquisa na internet, paralelamente é ciclópica a proporção que atingiu ao longo dos 18 anos de existência concretizando, sem dúvida, um velho sonho da humanidade – reunir num local todo o conhecimento da humanidade – a Wikipédia é, de alguma forma, a nova biblioteca de Alexandria sendo que o facto de não ter restrições em armazenar o conhecimento uma vantagem, esta alberga 291 línguas sendo que é a Wikipédia em língua inglesa que tem um nível maior de maturidade. Outro fator distinto é o facto de o seu produto ser resultado da contribuição de voluntários à volta do globo. No entanto, na atualidade, os contributos não se circunscrevem aos agentes humanos mas também aos agentes não-humanos. Assim, o presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a Wikipédia enquanto sistema sociotécnico, ou seja, enquadrando-o no papel destes agendes. Para tal, num primeiro momento abordaremos o fenómeno Wikipédia enquanto enciclopédia e num segundo momento é analisada enquanto sistema sociotécnico, nomeadamente em língua portuguesa, uma vez que, o papel dos agentes não-humanos tem tido um peso cada vez maior nesta enciclopédia, ou seja, os bots são vistos como colaboradores não-humanos que intervêm quer em edições repetitivas e em série mas também evoluído quer no espaço de atuação, quer na sofisticação das ações, ou seja, não se restringe ao conteúdo dos artigos e expande-se para a socialização dos participantes da comunidade. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Wikipedia is unavoidable when doing a research on the internet, in parallel it is a cyclopean the proportion that reached over the 18 years of existence realizing, undoubtedly, an old dream of humanity - gathering in a place all the knowledge of humanity - Wikipedia is, to some extent, the new library of Alexandria being that the fact of not having restrictions in storing the knowledge an advantage, this one harbors 291 languages being that is the English language Wikipedia that has a greater level of maturity. Another factor is the fact that your product is the result of the contribution of volunteers around the globe. Today, however, the contributions are not limited to human agents but also to non-human agents. Thus, this article aims to analyze Wikipedia as a sociotechnical system, which is, framing it in the role of these agendas. To do so, we will first look at the Wikipedia phenomenon as an encyclopaedia and in a second moment it is analyzed as a sociotechnical system, namely in Portuguese language, since the role of non-human agents has been growing in this encyclopaedia, that is, bots are seen as non-human collaborators that intervene both in repetitive and serial editions but also evolved either in the space of action or in the sophistication of actions, that is, it is not restricted to the content of the articles and expands to the socialization of community participants. | pt_PT |
