Resumo(s)

The globalisation process is commonly linked with the development of information and communication technologies. However, when taking into account its dynamic nature, we realise that the social and territorial expansion of relations (inter-connectivity) and the emergence of the so-called global imaginary (i.e. the notion of belonging to a whole) are gradual processes with deep historical roots dating back to prehistoric times, which must be understood in the light of the concepts of mobility and exchange and in a symbiotic relationship between the global and the local. On the other hand, globalisation processes imply entrepreneurial action, capable of facing the risks and challenges associated with complex systems of transregional mobility and exchange. In this chapter, we propose a reflection on the relationship between globalisation and entrepreneurship, integrating it into the epistemological field of global studies and aiming for an entrepreneurial ethics with a view to building global citizenship.
