O termo hebraico hamas Ă© polissĂ©mico. O seu primeiro sentido remete para a violĂȘncia fĂsica com derramamento de sangue. PorĂ©m, ele pode tambĂ©m ser referido Ă violĂȘncia exercida atravĂ©s da palavra ou Ă violĂȘncia infligida pelo nĂŁo exercĂcio da justiça, sendo esta a violĂȘncia mais grave porque destruidora da prĂłpria sociedade humana. Neste breve estudo, vamos abordar o tema da violĂȘncia humana a partir dos textos fundamentais do Antigo Testamento que a circunscrevem.
The Hebrew term hamas is polysemous. Its first meaning refers to physical violence with bloodshed. However, it can also be referred to the violence exercised through speech or the violence inflicted by not exercising justice, this being the most serious violence because it destroys human society itself. In this brief study, we are going to approach the subject of human violence from the fundamental texts of the Old Testament that circumscribe it.
