dc.description.abstract	O presente texto abordará o modo como os principais órficos olharam a crise de valores que marcou os finais do século XIX e os princípios do século XX. Essa reflexão basear-se-á fundamentalmente nos testemunhos dos próprios, todos eles demarcando um cenário cujos contornos provam decisivamente um sentido geral de fragmentação estético e ideológica. Nunca esquecendo a especificidade das suas práticas críticas, estéticas e literárias, procurar-se-á confirmar o alcance hermenêutico dessa leitura, confinando o âmbito de pesquisa ao estudo das potencialidades informativas comprometidas com a perceção de si mesmos como sujeitos em busca de uma determinada plenitude, em parte (mas não só) conseguida nos discursos do Orpheu — revista que, em primeira instância, deixou entrever o desejo de uma totalidade (por esta noção se colocando em causa o próprio sentido negativo de crise) e, em última instância, validou quer o florescimento de outras revistas literárias, quer, sobretudo com Almada Negreiros, a ousadia do “artista literário” e quer a “dimensão individual do sujeito”.	pt_PT
dc.description.abstract	This text will study how Portuguese modernists perceivedthe crisis of values that definedthe end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This reflection will be fundamentally based on the testimonies of the own modernists, and all of them demarcateda scenario in which thecontours point decisively to a general sense of aesthetic and ideological fragmentation. Having in mindthe specificity of their critical, aesthetic and literary practices, we will endeavor to confirm the hermeneutical scope of this reading, by comprising itto theresearchof the study of the informative potentialities committed to the perception of themselves as subjects in search of a certain plenitude, partly (but not only) achieved in texts published inOrpheu—a magazine that, in the first instance,disclosedthe desirefor a totality(by this notion callinginto question the negative sense of crisis) and, in the last instance, validated both the flourishing of other literary magazines and, especially with Almada Negreiros, the boldness of the “literary artist”, as well as the “individual dimension of the subject”.	pt_PT
