| dc.description.abstract | Com o título O Sentido da vida inspirado no discurso proferido por Manuel Forjaz, o presente estudo tem como objeto de investigação discursos inspiradores que visam “não só a comunicação de ideias, pensamentos e sentimentos, mas também a persuasão e o convencimento de interlocutores” (Silva, 2006: 2), no que diz respeito ao sentido da vida: ao que cada um fez e/ou faz ou deverá fazer para atingir aquilo que pretende. Os discursos são analisados do ponto de vista retórico-discursivo. Assim, parte-se da análise de um corpus textual, selecionado a partir do tema base – “o sentido da vida”, verificando a legitimidade e a credibilidade de cada orador e as estratégias utilizadas por cada um para transmitir a sua mensagem. Neste sentido, procede-se ao recenseamento dos atos de fala, dos recursos expressivos e dos aforismos convocados em cada discurso. Na primeira parte, apresenta-se o enquadramento teórico no que concerne à linguagem, à argumentação e à teoria dos atos de fala, fazendo-se, também, uma revisão da literatura relativa à legitimação, à credibilidade e à captação. A especificidade do corpus textual leva à abordagem de conceitos ligados à autobiografia e à enunciação aforística. Os procedimentos de análise adotados, tendo em conta os discursos selecionados, são abordados na segunda parte. A terceira parte é dedicada à análise das estratégias utilizadas por cada orador para transmitir a sua mensagem sobre o sentido da vida. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | With the title “The Sense of Life” inspired by the speech of Manuel Forjaz, this study has as its object of investigation inspiring speeches. This inspiring speeches aimed at “not only the communication of ideas, thoughts and feelings, but also the persuasion and convincing of interlocutors” (Silva, 2006: 2), regarding the meaning of life: what each one does, did or should do to achieve what they want. The speeches are analyzed from the rhetorical-discursive point of view. Thus, we start from the analysis of a textual corpus, selected from the basic theme - “the meaning of life”, verifying the legitimacy and credibility of each speaker and the strategies used by each one to convey his message. In this sense, we test and confirm the speech acts, expressive resources and aphorisms summoned in each speech. In the first part, we present the theoretical framework regarding language, argumentation and theory of speech acts. We also analyze the theoretical framework of the literature concerning legitimation, credibility and capture. The specificity of the textual corpus leads to the approach of concepts related to autobiography and aphoristic enunciation. The analysis procedures adopted, concerning the study of the selected speeches, are pointed in the second part. The third part is dedicated to analyzing the strategies used by each speaker to convey their message about the meaning of life. | pt_PT |
