A música, enquanto expressão cultural e prática social, desempenha um papel fundamental na construção de identidades, no fortalecimento de vínculos sociais e na promoção da inclusão social. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar o papel que os projetos musicais podem desempenhar na transformação e mudança social das famílias, instituições e comunidades locais. A investigação baseia-se numa abordagem quali-quantitativa, sustentada por revisão bibliográfica e análise de experiências de projetos musicais comunitários. Os resultados indicam que tais projetos contribuem significativamente para o desenvolvimento humano, a coesão social, a prevenção de comportamentos de risco e o fortalecimento das relações familiares e institucionais. Conclui-se que os projetos musicais constituem importantes ferramentas de intervenção social e educativa, capazes de gerar impactos positivos e duradouros nas comunidades onde estão inseridos.
Music, as a cultural expression and social practice, plays a fundamental role in the construction of identities, the strengthening of social bonds, and the promotion of social inclusion. This study aims to analyse the role that musical projects can play in the transformation and social change of families, institutions, and local communities. The research is based on a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and qualitative), supported by literature review and analysis of experiences from community-based musical projects. The results indicate that such projects significantly contribute to human development, social cohesion, prevention of risk behaviours, and the strengthening of family and institutional relationships. It is concluded that musical projects are important tools for social and educational intervention, capable of generating positive and lasting impacts in the communities where they are implemented.
