O olhar, a tactilidade e a sua representação em fotografia

| dc.description.abstract | Este artgo toma como ponto de partda a análise de um conjunto de negatvos, fotografas e outros objetos encontrados, cuja intervenção plástca autoral foi realizada de modo a salientar o paradoxo existente na fotografa fotoquímica: esta é, simultaneamente, composta por elementos visuais, mas também é, ela própria, um objeto táctl. Consubstancia-se num processo de criação artstca que levanta algumas questões. Será que esta confuência entre olhar e tocar, entre o háptco e visual, está presente na nossa relação com as imagens digitais, em relação às quais necessitamos de dispositvos para as descodifcar? Será que é apenas quando olhamos através de uma máquina que materializa o nosso olhar e, em consequência, desgasta uma imagem, que obtemos uma maior consciencialização do corpo fsico – o nosso e o da imagem? Através da utlização de estratégias de experimentação criatva, foram exploradas as ideias de imagem latente que se revela através do nosso toque sobre a sua superfcie, a codifcação de elementos textuais recorrendo à cifração táctl permitda pelo Braille ou, ainda, a ideia de repetção de gestos sobre as superfcies lisas e frias dos ecrãs que nos acompanham no nosso quotdiano. Assim, foram utlizados para o efeito uma série de abordagens que exploram a imagem fotográfca, o seu poder e maleabilidade, bem como a conexão táctl que com ela podemos estabelecer. Adotouse também como estratégia a junção de elementos visuais e textuais, a aplicação de tntas e solventes ou ainda a manipulação e interferência entre o fotoquímico e o digital para refazer e recombinar as imagens a partr do seu interior. Estabelece-se, assim, uma experimentação artstca que se centra em questões relacionadas com a materialidade, tactlidade e o olhar recorrendo a métodos de análise baseados na troca atva, táctl e performatva entre espectador e imagem | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This project takes as a startng point the analysis of a set of negatves, photographs, and other objects found, enabling a creatve approach by the author in order to highlight the paradox that exists in photochemical photography: it is simultaneously composed of visual elements, but it is also, itself, a tactle object. This became a creatve process triggering a few questons. Is this confuence between looking and touching, between haptc and visual, present in our relatonship with digital images, in relaton to which they need devices to decode? Is it only when we look through a machine that our gaze materializes and, consequently, wears out an image, that we obtain a greater awareness of the physical body - ours and that of the image? Through these strategies of creatve experimentaton, the latent image ideas that are revealed through our touch on their surface, the encoding of textual elements using the tactle encrypton allowed by braille, or the idea of repetton of gestures on the smooth and fat surfaces of the screens that accompany us in our daily lives. A series of approaches were adopted in order to explore the photographic image, its power and malleability, and the tactle connecton that we can establish with it, such as the juxtapositon of visual and textual elements, the applicaton of ink and solvents, or the use of interferences between the photochemical and the digital to remake and recombine the images from within. As such, the artstc experimentaton focuses on issues related to materiality, tactlity and gaze, using analysis methods based on the actve, tactle and performatve exchange between spectator and image. | pt_PT |
