Abstract(s)
Esta Dissertação de Mestrado apresenta a investigação a realizar no âmbito da área de Informação e Sistemas Empresariais, sobre uma nova forma de aprendizagem on-line, nomeadamente os denominados MOOCs – Cursos Online Abertos e Massivos, abordando as principais características, as vantagens e desvantagens deste tipo de ensino, e os modelos mais recentes
Questiona-se o tempo, o espaço, a qualidade do ensino, dos materiais e dos suportes, a relação entre o docente e o aluno e entre estes, a atualização da informação, os tipos de formação e os custos desta modalidade de ensino.
O objetivo consistiu em comparar dois casos de MOOCs, um curso da Coursera e outro da Universidade Aberta, em termos de duração, ritmo, conteúdo programático, interação e o número de aprovações com sucesso.
O presente estudo seguiu uma metodologia qualitativa, enquadrando-se num estudo de dois casos, numa perspetiva transversal e descritiva, com o recurso a vários ins-trumentos de recolha de dados, nomeadamente, através dos registos das plataformas e da aplicação Google Forms.
The present Master degree thesis, prepared for an investigation in the area of Infor-mation and Business Systems, about a new online learning approach, namely the MOOC – Massive open online courses. Furthermore, it approaches the main charac-teristics, advantages and disadvantages about this type of learning also referring to the more recent models related to it. It is questioned the time, space, teaching qualities, materials and supports, the rela-tion between the teacher and the student, the update of information, the formative styles and the costs related to this teaching approach. The objective consisted in comparing two MOOC cases, one is a Coursera course and the other one an Open University course, analysing the length of the courses, rhythm, the contents of the teaching programs, interaction and the number of achiev-ing success. The present study followed a qualitative method, following two cases, in a transver-sal and descriptive approach, using several collective instruments through the records of the referenced platforms and Google application Forms.
