Abstract(s)
O e-Learning tem sido amplamente implementado nas instituições de ensino para
melhorar o processo de formação e atender aos novos desafios impostos pela tecnologia
no século XXI. A implementação e utilização dos Sistemas de Gestão de Aprendizagem
(LMS – Learning Management System) nas organizações tende a crescer
exponencialmente nos últimos anos, e tem dado um forte impacto na educação,
especialmente no ensino superior.
É neste âmbito que a presente dissertação apresenta um estudo sobre a implementação
de um LMS numa instituição de ensino superior angolana, concretamente no Instituto
Superior de Ciências de Educação da Huíla, afim de “compreender o impacto da utilização
do LMS MOODLE para melhorar o processo de formação em contexto de e-Learning”.
Para o efeito, adotou-se a metodologia de Design Science Research (DSR) tendo por base
o LMS MOODLE como artefacto principal deste estudo de investigação.
À luz do quadro teórico, procedeu-se a uma revisão sistemática da literatura que
procurou identificar estudos de investigação abordados para melhorar o processo de
formação em contexto de e-Learning nas instituições de ensino superior, por forma a
apurar os fatores que influenciam a adoção destas plataformas neste subsistema de
ensino.
Para a validação deste estudo, efetuou-se a instalação do LMS MOODLE no ISCED-HUÍLA,
a sua configuração, personalização, parametrização e implementação. Seguiu-se a
realização de um processo de formação para professores no âmbito de utilização da
plataforma e verificou-se, através de um inquérito por questionário, o grau de utilização e
de satisfação dos intervenientes no processo.
Os resultados mostraram que a tecnologia, por si só, não será suficiente para que o eLearning se torne num padrão de ensino dominante, sendo a literacia digital dos
intervenientes um elemento crucial neste processo.
E-Learning has been widely implemented in educational institutions to improve the training process and meet the new challenges imposed by technology in the 21st century. The implementation and use of learning management systems (LMS) in organizations have grown exponentially in recent years and have strongly impacted education, especially in higher education. This dissertation presents a study of the implementation of an LMS in an Angolan higher education institution, specifically in the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educação da Huíla, to "understand the impact of using the MOODLE LMS to improve the training process in the context of e-Learning". For this purpose, the methodology of Design Science Research (DSR) was adopted, based on the LMS MOODLE as the main artifact of this research study. According to the theoretical framework, a systematic review of the literature was carried out to identify research studies addressing improving the training process in the context of e-Learning in higher education institutions to determine the factors that influence the adoption of these platforms in this education subsystem. For the validation of this study, the LMS MOODLE was installed in ISCED-HUÍLA, configured and customized, and implemented. This was followed by a training process for teachers in the use of the platform, and a questionnaire was used to verify the degree of use and satisfaction of those involved in the process. The results showed that technology alone would not be enough for e-Learning to become a dominant teaching standard; the digital literacy of those involved is crucial in this process.
