Human development constitutes as a categorical imperative of humanity in all its manifestations and existential dimensions, like the economy, politics, environment, culture, science, and religion. Such urgency and relevance becomes relevant especially if we take into account the requirements of a development that is sustainable. The requirements of sustainable development are well reflected in the multiplicity of its leading axes in the following dimensions: environmental, social, economic, cultural and political-institutional. The Social Ministry in its mission and vision is in this context of responding to the challenges of sustainability and social development, particularly in its specificity to transform societies in places of cohesion, harmony and inclusion, with the reduction of inequalities and social exclusion. Here lies the challenge of awareness of social pastoral agents with regard to social responsibility and education for sustainable development, which is our fundamental proposal, implementing more systematic manner in Small Christian Communities (SCC). Our studywill havemoments ofliterature, meeting thesecondary sources, consultation and detailed studyof official documents andstatisticsindocumentary researchphase The inductive perspective that we print in our study will lead us to ethnographic research, searching multiple sources of information, data and evidence, through the respective techniques, according to the requirements and procedures. This style of “research on- site " , will enable us to be more immersed in the life of Lubango Archdiocese and Huila Province itself, which constitute the subject matter of our thesis and print objectivity before subjectivism risks. Social pastoral is the means by which the Church, in her social responsibility, reaches out to those who are on the fringe of the journey, those who have no voice in the process of development with all its challenges of sustainability. In the present work, mainly in its second part, we note that the Archdiocese of Lubango has been and is taking steps in the transformation of society, that is, it has developed a work not only ad intra but also ad extra. We must mention here, as an example, the work that the missionary schools, the Medium and Major Seminars do in training qualified staff in Angola and beyond. In the Interview with the Ordinary of the Current Place, namely the Archbishop Dom Gabriel Mbilingi and in the empirical approach with PROMAICA of the Cathedral and of Nossa Senhora das Dores/Missão do Lubango and the School of the Immaculate Conception, it was illustrated how this local Church participates in the great task of serving men and women without seeing their ideology, color, tribe even their religious confession. As a result, we can guarantee that the Catholic Church is in fact a privileged partner of the Government of Angola.
