A literatura na imprensa: estudo de caso : a última década do século XIX e a primeira do século XXI na imprensa do concelho de Melgaço

Abstract(s)
Este trabalho de investigação teve como objetivo verificar se a imprensa do concelho de Melgaço tem contribuído, de algum modo, para a divulgação da literatura.
Neste sentido, considerámos importante analisar duas épocas diferentes da história da imprensa neste concelho raiano. A primeira época foi a última década do século XIX, tendo em conta o nascimento do jornalismo na localidade e os primeiros passos de muitos escritores que desejavam viver da sua profissão; a segunda época foi a primeira década do século XXI, visto que nos permitiria fazer uma análise mais próxima dos nossos dias, quando, quer o jornalismo, quer a literatura, quer até os respetivos profissionais já se impuseram de modo inequívoco e diferenciado.
Procurámos, assim, fazer uma contextualização da imprensa em cada década, das eventuais manifestações literárias divulgadas e dos escritores / colaboradores cujos trabalhos evidenciavam evidentes marcas literárias que se afastavam do discurso jornalístico.
Deste modo, e com o propósito de orientar e sistematizar as nossas observações, considerámos relevante apresentar um levantamento dos textos com características literárias que foram publicados nos jornais nas duas épocas em estudo e das informações sobre os seus autores / colaboradores do jornal.
No final do percurso, e com base no nosso trabalho de investigação, apresentamos as conclusões a que chegámos.
The aim of this research project was to see if the press in the Portuguese municipality of Melgaço has contributed in any way to the dissemination of literature. To this end, we considered it important to analyse two different periods in the history of the press in this municipality. The first was the last decade of the 19th century, taking into account the birth of journalism there and the first steps of many writers who wanted to make a living from their profession; the second was the first decade of the 21st century, as it would allow us to analyse things closer to the present day, when journalism, literature and even the respective professionals have already established themselves in an unequivocal and differentiated way. We therefore sought to contextualise the press in each of the periods, the eventual literary manifestations that were published and the writers/contributors whose work showed obvious literary traits that deviated from the journalistic discourse. Therefore, in order to guide and systematise our observations, we considered it relevant to present a survey of the texts with literary characteristics that were published in the newspapers in the two periods under study and information about their authors / newspaper contributors. At the end of the journey, and based on our research work, we present the conclusions we reached.
