| dc.description.abstract | This book offers a critically informed and concise contribution to the general theme of artisanal maritime fishing in a wide-ranging chronology (from the Middle Ages to the present). It includes contributions from various disciplinary areas (History, Museology, Biology, Geography and Geology) and case studies from diverse countries. The set of analyses that make it up is the result of a main objective: the dissemination of the activity material/immaterial heritage and preservation of its collective memory in a context of international collaboration.
