dc.description.abstractEste estudo assume o título de “Emancipação da Comunidade Surda Micaelense: A vez e a voz dos surdos”. A escolha deste título pretende não só homenagear pela prática da reflexão partilhada e construída os membros da comunidade surda da ilha de São Miguel, como também congregar ideias, conceitos, experiências, projetos e emoções como forma de interpretar o passado, repensar o presente e consciencializar para as emergências de um futuro global, tecnológico, inclusivo e intercultural que cunham a vida sistémica dos agentes educativos Micaelenses. Deste modo o objeto deste estudo incide na dimensão educativa, social e política da comunidade surda de São Miguel à luz da revisitação da sua história e da projeção do seu futuro, pela análise de documentos, fotografias, páginas Web ou redes sociais, observação participada e, narrativas dialogadas dos seus membros obtidas por entrevistas semiestruturadas. Assim, ao longo desta investigação tornou-se preponderante saber o que pensam os surdos sobre a influência das escolas no desenvolvimento da Língua Gestual, na proclamação dos poderes e direitos individuais, na valorização da multidimensionalidade cultural e, no ensino e aprendizagem das literacias. Foi pertinente, também identificar quais as mudanças que anseiam no plano político e social como forma de melhorar as condições de vida da pessoa surda. Assim como também foi relevante conhecer as manifestações culturais e críticas que levam ao emponderamento e à emancipação da comunidade surda micaelense. dc.description.abstractThis study is entitled “Emancipation of the Deaf Community of Micaelense: The Turn and the Voice of the Deaf”. The choice of this title aims not only to honor the practice of shared reflection and built the members of the deaf community of São Miguel Island, but also to gather ideas, concepts, experiences, projects and emotions as a way of interpreting the past, rethinking the present and raising awareness. For the emergencies of a global, technological, inclusive and intercultural future that coalesce the systemic life of Micael's educational agents. Thus the object of this study focuses on the educational, social and political dimension of the deaf community of São Miguel in the light of revisiting its history and projecting its future, by analyzing documents, photographs, web pages or social networks, participatory observation and , dialogic narratives of its members obtained through semi-structured interviews. Thus, throughout this investigation it became preponderant to know what deaf people think about the influence of schools on the development of Sign Language, the proclamation of individual powers and rights, the appreciation of cultural multidimensionality and the teaching and learning of literacy. It was also pertinent to identify which changes they yearn for politically and socially as a way of improving the living conditions of the deaf person. Just as it was also relevant to know the cultural and critical manifestations that lead to empowerment and emancipation of the deaf community of. Knowledge built through dialogued questioning, shared ideas where the turn and voice of the deaf made themselves felt.pt_PT
