Abstract(s)
do seguinte modo:
espólio arcaico, do V milénio a.C.
milénio a.C.
5 - Pequenas cistas sub-trapezoidais, da 2ª
metade do III milénio a.C. (Calcolítico
Campaniforme).
This study presents the preliminary results of the excavation of eight magalithic tombs, in international area of the Tagus River ( Beira Interior), near Rosmaninhal, municipality of Idanha-a-Nova. Six monuments are situated on the same geomorphological unit, the Amieiro platform, representing a megalithic nucleus developed and utilised during several bundred years. Tbrough a study of the architecture and archaeological remains, we propose the following scheme for the evolution of megalithic monuments in that region: 1 - Single closed tombs, proto-megalithic, witbout associated remains or with archaic remains: dated to the fifth millennium Bc. 2 - Monuments with a single chamber, shped like a horseshoe, without corridor from the late fourth to early third millennium BC (Late Neolithic/Early Chalcolithic). 3 - Dolmens with a well-defined chamber and corridor, varying in their dimensions;comtemporary with type 2.4 - Dolmens of large dimensions, with round chambers built of eight or more orthostats, roofed by a false arch and with a long corridor; dated to the third millennium BC (Chalcolithic). 5 - Small grave cists; dated to the second half of the third millennium BC (Late Chalcolithic/Beaker Period).
