| dc.description.abstract | The relationship between governance and globalization represents one of the most complex and contested issues in contemporary political science and international relations. This essay examines the multifaceted tensions arising from the simultaneous expansion of global interconnectedness and the persistence of territorially bounded governance structures. Through a comprehensive analysis of theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and case studies, this investigation explores how globalization challenges traditional conceptions of state sovereignty while simultaneously creating demands for new forms of governance at multiple scales. The analysis reveals that rather than simply eroding state capacity, globalization has transformed governance into a multi-layered, networked phenomenon that operates across local, national, regional, and global levels, creating both opportunities for enhanced coordination and risks of democratic deficits and accountability gaps. | eng |
