É a partir da categoria totalidade, no campo histórico-crítico que se procura conhecer algumas implicações e desdobramentos entre a educação formal e o trabalho profissional das(os) assistentes sociais na prática cotidiana da reprodução social da vida. Sob a perspectiva do sistema do capital e das particularidades de uma economia dependente e periférica, as ações socioeducativas e pedagógicas destas(es) profissionais, fundamentadas em projetos ético-políticos (em disputa), expressam a correlação de forças dos projetos societários presentes. Neste contexto, as práticas socioeducativas incorrem na possibilidade de assumir tendências: que se aproximam de uma intervenção reflexiva, coletiva, crítica e associada à baliza da emancipação humana; ou, que reproduzam a lógica do sistema segregador, racista, explorador, opressor, operando em ações de baixo nível de consciência crítica.The main problem presented to us at the time of this theoretical reflection, through the bibliographic review, is to analyze the socio-educational dimension in the training and professional practice of social workers on the contradictions inherent to the limits of capitalist sociability, in the context of the Brazilian neoliberal State configuration.
