Terminamos com uma leitura crítica do enquadramento político português para a educação a distância no ensino superior e uma proposta de desenvolvimento futuro de uma investigação que procure compreender diferentes posicionamentos políticos em diversos países da União Europeia, relativamente às estratégias políticas para a educação a distância no ensino superior.In this article, we seek to systematize some reflections on the political trends for higher education in Europe, and the role that distance education can play in this strategy. We seek to understand the Portuguese government’s interpretation of these guidelines and how it regulates distance education in higher education.
