XXI (misturando-se, por vezes, com os fluxos migratórios) para chegarem à União Europeia. Procura-se, ainda, compreender quais são as ações tomadas e quais as consequências e resoluções (nas políticas de defesa e segurança da União Europeia) para combater este fenómeno a curto, médio e longo prazo. Na vertente prática, o estudo pretende ser relevante para as organizações nacionais e internacionais ligadas ao setor da segurança, auxiliando a prevenir o desenvolvimento das organizações e possíveis ações terroristas. In theoretical terms, this study aims to understand the phenomenon of terrorism as it manifests through various routes adopted by the terrorist organizations in the 21st century (sometimes intertwining with migratory flows) to reach the European Union. It further endeavors to comprehend the actions taken, along with their consequences and resolutions undertaken within European Union defense and security policies, in order to combat this phenomenon in the short, medium and long term.
