O futebol é uma indústria em evolução permanente que relaciona a razão com o
coração. É um fenómeno com importância económica, social e cultural. Há uma década
atrás, foram criados novos decretos e regras em Portugal, com o objectivo de
desenvolver a indústria do futebol, e esta originou a transformação do associativismo
nas SAD e existindo posteriormente a admissão das sociedades desportivas em bolsa.
O objectivo desta dissertação é explicar o relacionamento entre a cotação da acção e os
factos importantes que podem influenciar as acções.
Esta investigação baseia-se nas regras e leis das SAD e tenta identificar quais os factos
relevantes que aumentam ou diminuem o valor das acções, pretende-se estudar o
mercado bolsista, realizando uma análise empírica e indutiva.
Os resultados do estudo podem incluir a verificação dos factos com potencial relevância
para influenciar o valor de mercado das SAD com o intuito de investigar se existe uma
causa efeito que possa produzir uma consequência nas acções e assim explicar esse
mesmo facto.
Conclui-se que é possível relacionar o facto X com o aumento dos preços das acções e o
facto Y com uma reacção diferente, tendo em consideração que, no fim do campeonato,
as acções tendem a aumentar se a equipa de futebol tiver a hipótese de ganhar a
competição.
ABSTRACT: Football is an industry in permanent evolution that connects reason to heart. It is a
phenomenon with an economic, social and cultural importance. To develop the industry,
it was created one decade ago new decree rules in Portugal, which associated this sector
to public / anonymous sports societies (SAD), and later on with the opening of
transaction of their shares on the corresponding Stock Market.
The aim of this thesis is to explain the relationship between Market Value and the
important facts that can influence it.
This investigation relies on SAD rules, laws and it intends to identify which facts are
relevant to increase or decrease the shares value and investigate the stock market and
make an empiric and inductive analysis.
Results of this study may include the verification of the facts with relevant potential to
influence the Market Value of the SAD; with the purpose of establishing if there is a
cause effect which can produce a consequence on the shares and so explain it.
The conclusion foreseen is that it is possible to relate fact X with an increase of share
prices, and fact Y with a different reaction, taking in consideration that near the end of
the championship the shares have a tendency to increase if the football team has the
chance to win the competition.
