A temática das migrações continua a ser, hoje mais do que nunca, um assunto de grande
estímulo para os investigadores das ciências sociais. O presente trabalho pretende ser uma
reflexão sobre a perceção dos imigrantes ucranianos e prestadores de cuidados de saúde
na integração dos primeiros nos serviços de saúde implementados numa unidade de
cuidados de saúde primários. Procuramos identificar as necessidades e dificuldades
sentidas na relação intercultural estabelecida tendo em conta as diferenças culturais e
linguísticas, a estabilidade social e laboral e o (des)conhecimento da legislação,
percecionados como condicionante ou não no acesso aos mesmos. É assim uma
investigação com desenho observacional, descritivo e transversal. A metodologia
utilizada é de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa com base na visão empírica sendo feito,
num primeiro momento uma pesquisa documental, contactos com diferentes profissionais
de saúde e cidadãos imigrantes ucranianos, seguindo-se entrevistas semiestruturadas e
inquéritos. A investigação incide sobre imigrantes ucranianos e os Serviços de Saúde do
concelho da Golegã, vila do distrito de Santarém na região de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo. A
recolha, análise e tratamento de dados permitiu conhecer as dificuldades sentidas por esta
população específica quanto aos cuidados de saúde. Os resultados do estudo apontaram
para dificuldades na diferença linguística levando a comunicação ineficaz aquando da
chegada destes imigrantes, mas que se dissipam ao longo do tempo. Esta investigação
mostrou através dos inquéritos e das entrevistas efetuadas aos profissionais de saúde e
imigrantes, que é possível implementar estratégias que facilitam a integração dos mesmos
nos serviços de saúde, recorrendo a ferramentas informáticas, espírito de equipa num
processo de entreajuda tanto no acesso aos serviços de saúde como na acessibilidade aos
serviços sociais para uma melhor inclusão com a ajuda do município e Centros de cariz
social. Conclui-se que uma relação de confiança na relação utente/profissional durante a
interação é um fator determinante para o processo de integração na sociedade face aos
cuidados de saúde valorizando um atendimento eficiente não descurando a diversidade e
a vulnerabilidade dos imigrantes.
The theme of migration remains, today more than ever, a subject of great stimulus for
social sciences researchers. The present work intends to be a reflection on the perception
of Ukrainian immigrants and health care providers in the integration of the former in the
health services implemented in a primary health care unit. We tried to identify the needs
and difficulties experienced in the intercultural relationship established taking into
account the cultural and linguistic differences, the social and labour stability and the (lack
of) knowledge of the legislation, perceived as conditioning or not the access to them. This
is, therefore, an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional research design. The
methodology used is of a qualitative and quantitative nature based on an empirical view,
being carried out in a first moment a documental research, contacts with different health
professionals and Ukrainian immigrant citizens, followed by semi-structured interviews
and surveys. The research focuses on Ukrainian immigrants and the Health Services of
the municipality of Golegã, a town in the district of Santarém in the region of Lisbon and
Tagus Valley. The collection, analysis and processing of data allowed the difficulties
experienced by this specific population regarding health care to be known. The results of
the study pointed to difficulties in the linguistic difference leading to ineffective
communication on the arrival of these immigrants, but which dissipate over time. This
research showed through the surveys and interviews carried out with health professionals
and immigrants that it is possible to implement strategies to facilitate their integration in
the health services, using IT tools, team spirit in a process of mutual help both in the
access to health services and in the accessibility to social services for a better inclusion
with the help of the municipality and social centres. It was concluded that a relationship
of trust in the user/professional relationship during the interaction is a determining factor
for the process of integration into society in the face of health care, valuing an efficient
service without neglecting the diversity and vulnerability of immigrants.
