Lisboa: [s.n.], 2009. 122 p. http://hdl.handle.net/10400.2/10913 Esta investigação centra-se em torno da figura do Diabo, mais concretamente na questão da venda da alma desde a sua origem e o seu desenvolvimento na Época Medieval até aos nossos dias, conjugando perspectivas teórico-literárias, históricas, religiosas, filosóficas e psicológicas nas épocas referidas. Tendo sempre presente o contexto social e histórico, tentaremos articular as várias perspectivas do Diabo, tanto com as diversas realidades históricas, como com o Imaginário do Homem. Tentaremos caracterizar a sua figura de diversas formas, desde a sua caracterização como ser sombrio, passando para um Diabo mais jocoso e grotesco ou mais romântico, galante e sedutor, e, finalmente, caracterizando-se como algo que pertence ao lado esquerdo do cosmos. Para além desta panorâmica histórica, desenvolveremos um breve estudo de duas obras, uma de Jorge de Sena, intitulada, “O Físico Prodigioso” e outra de Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “Fausto”, cujas temáticas estão ligadas à venda da alma. The aim of this Project is to put together some valuable research about the devil, more exactly regarding the issue of the selling of the human soul. We will chiefly focuse on the devil’s development, starting by its origin, the medieval times, the period of Romanticism, till we reach our epoch, taking into account not only theoretical, historical and religious views, but philosophical and psychological interpretations as well. We will try never to leave out the social and historical context within the analysis, connecting the various images of the devil with several realities, as for instance, Man’s fantasy placed in different study epochs. The devil will be characterized in numerous ways: as something fearful or, in opposition, as a bizarre and comic appearance or even as a passionate, gallant and seductive character. At the end he will be analysed as a part belonging to the left and destructive side of the universe.
