construção do autoconhecimento e potenciará gostos e aptidões pessoais, promovendo
assim a orientação e desenvolvimento vocacional. O caso do “Jogo de Profissões- I want to
be a saviour of the planet” pode colocar os jogos ao serviço da educação e da orientação
vocacional.

instruments in the education and vocational guidance of our young people and at the same
time, how they can be an important contribution to the awareness of the need to preserve
our environment. The development of games that put them in action in different virtual
scenarios and enable them to contact different professions, would certainly contribute to
the construction of self-knowledge and enhance personal tastes and skills, thus promoting
vocational guidance and development. The case of the "Game of Professions- I want to be
a saver planet" can put the games at the service of education and vocational guidance.
Through the use of electronic games, young people will be able to act in virtual catastrophe
scenarios, take contacts with different professions and act with problem solving strategies,
which will certainly prepare them for eventual real scenarios. These education and
awareness actions aim to empower future generations for real actions in the defense of
the environment and can be an important contribution to give them skills in adverse
conditions and even survival. This study has an important epistemological foundation in
Castels (1999) and Matta (2008), in information and communication technologies (TIC) and
digital games in Vygotsky (2010) and Prenksy's (2011) observations. Promoting vocational
guidance and sustainable environmental education should be one of our greatest missions.</dim:field>
